Lamine Yamal has equaled Kylian Mbappe's record for the most goals scored in the Champions League before the age of 20. The Barcelona winger reached 13 goals in the competition during a 4-2 defeat against Paris Saint-Germain in the third matchday of the Champions League League Phase.

While Yamal achieved the milestone with a goal in the 79th minute to briefly level the score at 2-2, Barcelona ultimately suffered their first defeat of the season. Yamal reached the 13-goal mark in 35 appearances, whereas Mbappe reached the same tally in 23 matches. Erling Haaland follows the duo with 10 goals scored as a teenager in the tournament.
