While Yamal initially maintained a cautious stance regarding the award, he recently expressed confidence, stating, “I think we are the two best in the world and because of the honors I have achieved this year, I deserve to receive the Ballon d'Or.” Barcelona officials, including President Joan Laporta, have also voiced their support for the player.
