Indonesian Lawyer Hotman Paris Seeks Treatment in Singapore Amid Public Scrutiny

Prominent Indonesian lawyer Hotman Paris travelled to Singapore for medical examinations of his lower lumbar spine (L4‑L5). He was accompanied by his wife, Agustianne Marbun, and his daughter, Felicia Hutapea, and posted the visit on Instagram. Netizens criticized the absence of his usual personal assistants, sparking online debate about his public image.

Hotman also withdrew from representing former junior prosecutor Febrie Adriansyah, citing health concerns. Following a viral video of a Balinese child mourning his father’s death, Hotman pledged to fund the education of the victim’s children, stating, “Hotman will pay your school fees.”

Felicia Hutapea, Hotman's only daughter, is an internationally qualified solicitor who studied law at Queen Mary University of London, attended summer programs at Oxford and Cambridge, and completed training in Singapore and the United Kingdom. She has worked as a solicitor in Indonesia, the UK, and Singapore.
