Lamont Roach and William Zepeda set for vacant WBC lightweight title bout in Las Vegas

Lamont Roach will face William Zepeda on Saturday, August 1, 2026, at The Theater at Virgin Hotels in Las Vegas for the vacant WBC lightweight championship, a belt last held by Shakur Stevenson. Roach (25‑1‑3) enters after draws with Gervonta Davis and Isaac Cruz, while Zepeda (33‑1) comes off a loss to Stevenson and has recorded wins over Giovanni Cabrera and Maxi Hughes.

The undercard features an IBF lightweight title fight between Raymond Muratalla and Robson Conceicao, among other bouts. The entire event will be broadcast live on DAZN and also shown on TNT in the United States.
