Lamparina releases fourth studio album ‘Delírio Coletivo’
The Minas Gerais-based band Lamparina has released its fourth studio album, ‘Delírio Coletivo’, in its entirety on digital platforms via ONErpm. The project consists of 15 tracks, released in two distinct stages. The first phase included seven songs, such as the single ‘Apaga a Luz’ featuring Karol Conká, while the second phase adds eight more tracks, including ‘Imã’ with Jota. pê, ‘Seco no Molhado’, and ‘Pura Magia’.
Musically, the album blends Brazilian Popular Music (MPB) with elements of rock, psychedelia, and surrealism, drawing inspiration from movements like Tropicália and artists such as Os Mutantes and Secos & Molhados. Thematically, the work explores identity, freedom, and mental health, specifically engaging with the ‘luta antimanicomial’ (anti-asylum movement). Vocalist Marina Miglio’s personal experiences serve as a reference for these discussions.
The project was supported by the Minas Gerais State Law for Cultural Incentive and sponsored by the Natura Musical platform. Visually, the album utilizes collage and expressionism, with cover art designed by visual artist Diogo Kuriyama.
