Lampung Financial Festival 2026 promotes youth financial literacy

The Lampung Financial Festival 2026, held at Novotel Bandar Lampung on September 5–6, focused on enhancing financial literacy and investment awareness among Indonesia's youth. The event featured various stakeholders, including representatives from BNI, the Indonesia Deposit Insurance Corporation (LPS), and the Ministry of Finance.

BNI supported the festival to encourage young people to manage finances wisely through digital services like wondr by BNI. During the sessions, LPS Commissioner Dody Zulverdi emphasized the role of banks as essential facilitators for economic activity and wealth storage.

Speakers provided practical advice for young investors. Zulkifli Hasan, the Coordinating Minister for Food Affairs, urged youth to pursue financial independence and entrepreneurship. Meanwhile, DPR Commission XI member Harris Turino recommended consistent investing, suggesting that setting aside approximately Rp 300,000 monthly into curated stocks, such as those in the LQ45 index, can build significant long-term wealth. He cautioned against 'FOMO' (fear of missing out) and warned against fraudulent investments promising unrealistically high returns.
