Lampung Police debunk viral human trafficking claims involving 15-year-old

Lampung Regional Police (Polda Lampung) have clarified that a viral social media claim involving a 15-year-old girl being sold by her parents is false. The investigation was launched following a series of posts on the platform X by the account @velzuu, which alleged human trafficking and physical abuse.

During questioning, the teenager admitted to creating the content and animations herself to gain public sympathy. She stated that her motivation stemmed from feelings of loneliness and difficulties socializing with her peers. Police officials noted that the account was also accessed by an online friend. Authorities have secured family documents and medical records as part of the investigation into the incident.
