LAMR Tualang inaugurated to promote social harmony in Siak

The Riau Malay Customary Institution (LAMR) for the Tualang District has officially inaugurated its Daily Leadership Council (DPH) for the 2026–2031 term. The event, held at Motuyoko Field, included the Grand Feast of the Tualang Malay Children (GAYUNG).

Datuk Seri Arfan Usman, Chairman of the Siak Regency LAMR DPH, emphasized that because Tualang is a heterogeneous area inhabited by various ethnicities, the institution must act as a protector for all community groups rather than focusing solely on the Malay community. He stated that LAMR should serve as a social glue to maintain peace and prevent division.

Siak Vice Regent Syamsurizal also expressed hope that LAMR would serve as an umbrella for all tribes living side-by-side. He noted that social harmony is essential for regional development and creates a conducive environment for business investment in the district.
