Lan Larison makes strong roster case for New England Patriots

New England Patriots running back Lan Larison delivered a standout performance during a 24-21 preseason victory over the Philadelphia Eagles. Larison recorded 128 all-purpose yards, including 74 yards from scrimmage and 54 yards on kickoff returns. His performance included a two-yard touchdown in the fourth quarter and several key plays, such as a 28-yard reception and a successful fourth-down conversion.

Head coach Mike Vrabel praised Larison for a “gritty, tough performance,” noting his ability to gain yards after contact and contribute to the passing game. Larison is currently competing for the RB3 position on the depth chart behind Rhamondre Stevenson and TreVeyon Henderson.

In addition to Larison’s rise, cornerback Kindle Vildor is also making a push for a roster spot. Vildor recorded three pass breakups against the Eagles, providing depth for a secondary facing injury concerns regarding Christian Gonzalez and Carlton Davis. With NFL roster cuts approaching on August 30, players have one remaining preseason game to secure their positions.
