Lan Xiang Ru Gu drama achieves high popularity despite production errors

The Chinese period drama ‘Lan Xiang Ru Gu’, starring Tan Songyun and Liu Xueyi, has achieved significant popularity, reaching a peak heat index of over 33,491 on Tencent Video and topping Douban’s trending charts. The series follows the story of a noblewoman who survives by disguising herself as a maid to clear her family name.

Despite its commercial success and praise for the leads' performances, viewers have identified several production errors in recent episodes. In episode 37, an iPhone was visible beneath a monk’s scriptures during a chanting scene. Other noted continuity and editing errors include modern athletic shorts appearing under official robes, clothing tags left on costumes, and inconsistent food levels in bowls between wide and close-up shots.
