Ena Begović remembered 26 years after tragic death on Brač

Family and colleagues are remembering the Croatian actress Ena Begović on the 26th anniversary of her death. Begović passed away at age 40 following a tragic car accident on the island of Brač on August 15, 2000.

Her daughter, Lana Radeljak, shared rare photographs of her mother on social media to honor her memory. Begović was a prominent member of the Croatian National Theatre in Zagreb, where she performed for 16 years. She was known for her artistic integrity, famously declining a Hollywood role in 'Charlie's Angels' to continue working in her native language.

The accident occurred in the town of Splitska when a vehicle carrying Begović, her husband Josip Radeljak, and their children overturned. While her husband and children survived, Begović succumbed to severe head injuries.
