Lancashire and North Wales police arrest suspects after failed escape attempts

In Chorley, Lancashire Constabulary officers responded to a fight at a pub on 26 July. A man who fled the scene drove a distinctive 4×4 with ladders on the roof, later dumping it in a supermarket car park. Police identified and arrested him, seizing the vehicle after he refused a roadside breath test and later a test in custody.

In Rhyl, North Wales Police stopped a young suspect during a weekend stop‑and‑search operation. When the suspect tried to run, he fell onto the pavement and was detained. A search uncovered cocaine, and he was charged under the Misuse of Drugs Act.
