Lancashire Women beat Surrey Women via DLS in One-Day Cup

Lancashire Women secured a narrow victory over Surrey Women in the ECB Women’s One-Day Cup via the Duckworth-Lewis-Stern (DLS) method after rain interrupted play at the AO Farington Cricket Ground.

Tilly Kesteven led the Lancashire innings with a maiden List A fifty, scoring 85 runs from 109 balls. Her performance included several double-figure partnerships, most notably a 47-run stand with Seren Smale. Despite a late collapse in the tail, Lancashire posted a competitive total aided by 29 extras and late contributions from Kate Cross.

Surrey Women, facing a rain-revised target of 178 runs from 38 overs, struggled with an early setback when Alice Monaghan was dismissed for a duck. While Rachel King and Phoebe Franklin provided stability during the chase, Surrey was unable to overcome the tight Lancashire bowling attack to reach the target.
