Lance Carr suffers ACL injury; Jeramie Sanico shines on The Voice Australia

Actor and basketball player Lance Carr suffered a torn anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) in his left knee during the Viva All-Star Games 2026. The injury occurred at the Smart Araneta Coliseum while Carr was playing for Team Viva One. Carr expressed his concerns regarding his future in the sport via social media, stating that the injury is a “worst nightmare” for any basketball player.

In separate news, Filipino singer Jeramie Sanico, a former “Tawag ng Tanghalan” contestant, achieved a four-chair turn on “The Voice Australia.” Performing a rendition of Celine Dion’s “Because You Loved Me,” Sanico impressed coaches Richard Marx, Ronan Keating, Kate Miller-Heidke, and Melanie C during the blind auditions.
