Lance Stroll involved in tense exchange with marshal after Azerbaijan GP retirement

Lance Stroll experienced a frustrating retirement during the Azerbaijan Grand Prix after water pressure issues forced him to abandon his Aston Martin on the ninth lap. Following the DNF, fan footage captured a tense exchange between the Canadian driver and a track marshal. Stroll, visibly upset while attempting to navigate the street circuit to return to the paddock, was heard telling the marshal, “I’m not waiting here until the end of the session. I’m out of here,” and repeatedly demanding a radio.

The marshal eventually escorted Stroll away from the barrier. Speaking to the media afterward, Stroll expressed significant dissatisfaction with the team's performance, noting a lack of upgrades and stating, “Probably no positives right now.” This retirement marks a difficult season for Stroll, who has struggled to finish races. His teammate, Fernando Alonso, also failed to finish the race due to engine problems.
