Lancia Corse HF logs record entries at Rome Rally ahead of next WRC round

At the Rally di Roma Capitale, Lancia Corse HF announced a record number of Ypsilon Rally2 HF cars entered, a milestone the team said demonstrates growing national and international interest. Luca Martello, Lancia HF manager, called the event a “great success” and highlighted its role as a test for the upcoming World Rally Championship calendar.

Earlier in the season the team competed at the Acropolis Rally in Greece under extreme heat and challenging gravel stages. Drivers Léo Rossel and Guillaume Mercoiret finished sixth, while Pablo Sarrazin and Yannick Roche took seventh. Several crews suffered setbacks, including an engine failure for Yohan Rossel and an accident that forced Conner Martell and Alessandro Gelsomino to retire. Despite the difficulties, Lancia gathered valuable data on the new Ypsilon Rally2 HF Integrale for further development.

Looking ahead, Lancia Corse HF will contest the next FIA European Rally Championship round at the Rome Rally, with Yohan Rossel and Nikolay Gryazin slated to compete on the tarmac stages.
