Lancia Thema 8.32: The collaboration of Lancia, Ferrari, and Ducati

The Lancia Thema 8.32 represents a unique historical collaboration between three iconic Italian brands: Lancia, Ferrari, and Ducati. Launched in the mid-1980s, the vehicle was designed to compete with luxury models from BMW and Mercedes-Benz.

At its core, the Thema 8.32 featured a 2.9-liter V8 engine derived from the Ferrari 308 Quattrovalvole. While the engine components originated in Maranello, Ducati played a critical role in the assembly process. Ducati modified the engine to include a cross-plane crankshaft, making the power delivery more suitable for a daily-use luxury sedan compared to the original Ferrari racing configuration.

Produced between 1986 and 1991, approximately 3,520 units were manufactured. The car was distinguished by its retractable rear spoiler, specific wheels, and high-end interior materials such as Alcantara and Poltrona Frau leather. The engine, identified by the code F105L, produced approximately 214 to 215 horsepower.
