Lancia Ypsilon wins Rallye Mont-Blanc Morzine
Yoann Bonato and Benjamin Boulloud secured victory in the Rallye Mont-Blanc Morzine driving the Lancia Ypsilon Rally2 HF Integrale. This win marks the fifth round of the eight-event French Rally Championship (FFSA).
Competing on the technical roads of the French Alps, the Trajectus Motorsport crew took the lead on the third special stage and maintained control through twelve stages. They finished 11.8 seconds ahead of Raphaël Astier and Denis Giraudet in a Porsche 992. Hugo Margaillan and Mathieu Coppa finished third in a Hyundai i20 N Rally2, trailing by 22.9 seconds.
This victory is Bonato’s eighth win at this specific rally. The win also significantly impacts the championship standings; Bonato now sits at 87 points, trailing leader Raphaël Astier, who has 94 points. The crew noted the win was particularly emotional as they chose to compete to honor a close friend lost shortly before the event.
