Land of Talk announces new album ‘LASTS’

Indie rock project Land of Talk has announced its sixth studio album, titled ‘LASTS’, scheduled for release on November 13 via Saddle Creek. The record follows 2023’s ‘Performances’ and was written and produced by frontwoman Lizzie Powell.

The album was recorded at a remote cabin in Harrington, Quebec, featuring longtime collaborators Michael Feuerstack on bass, pedal steel, and engineering, and Michael Belyea on drums and percussion. The project consists of eight tracks, including ‘Broken Tongue’, ‘Saffron’, and ‘Dogs’.

The band has released the lead single ‘4:44’, accompanied by a music video directed by Ana-Maria Espino Trudel. Powell noted that the lyrics for ‘4:44’ were largely improvised in the studio following her experience reading false narratives about her personal and professional life online.
