Land Rover Defender 110 prices drop in India via local assembly

Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) India has launched the locally assembled Land Rover Defender 110, utilizing completely knocked down (CKD) kits from Slovakia at its Pune facility. This shift from fully imported (CBU) models to local assembly has resulted in significant price reductions for the X-Dynamic HSE trim.

The 2.0-litre turbo-petrol variant now starts at Rs 99 lakh, a reduction of Rs 14 lakh compared to the previous CBU price. The 3.0-litre diesel and 3.0-litre turbo-petrol variants have seen larger price cuts of up to Rs 34 lakh, both now priced at Rs 1.18 crore.

Despite the lower costs, JLR has made several previously optional features standard on the locally assembled units, including adaptive off-road cruise control, air suspension, and three-zone climate control. While the 110 model is now locally produced, the 90 and 130 versions continue to be offered as CBU imports.
