Land Rover introduces spare wheel removal kit for Defender 90
Land Rover has introduced an optional Spare Wheel Removal Kit for the Defender 90 in the European market. This modification allows customers to order the three-door model without the traditional spare wheel mounted on the rear door.
The kit is designed to improve rear visibility and facilitate maneuvering in tight urban environments and parking spaces. By removing the wheel, the rear door becomes lighter and requires less clearance to open, making it more practical for small garages. The modification does not require a complete redesign of the bodywork; the door retains its original mounting points, though the wheel is absent.
Additionally, Land Rover launched the Alasia Pack, a new aesthetic package available for the Defender 90, 110, and 130 models. This pack features ‘Cyprus Copper’ accents on the front and rear lettering, the grille, side air intakes, and tow eyes. The name Alasia refers to the ancient name of Cyprus, a region historically significant for copper production.
