Land Rover launches Defender Classic V8 in Australia

Land Rover has made the Defender Classic V8 available for individual commission in Australia. The program allows customers to personalize vehicles based on original Defender models produced between 2012 and 2016.

Available body styles include the 90 Station Wagon, the 110 Station Wagon, and the Soft Top. The Soft Top version, featured in Sunset Gold, serves as an example of the customization options available. Each vehicle undergoes a complete technical overhaul and modernization, featuring an original 5.0-liter petrol V8 engine producing 400 hp, an eight-speed ZF automatic transmission, and Alcon four-piston brakes.

Specialists from Classic Works in Coventry, UK, and Essen, Germany, manage the builds. The starting price for these custom vehicles is 209,000 pounds, which is approximately 280,000 US dollars, excluding local taxes and delivery.
