Land Rover unveils 2028 Range Rover GT EV and previews 2027 facelift
Land Rover announced the 2028 Range Rover GT EV, a new fastback grand‑tourer that combines electric power with off‑road capability. The model is positioned as a distinct fifth nameplate alongside the Defender, Discovery, Range Rover and Range Rover Sport. The company targets close to 500 miles (800 km) of range on a single charge, relying on a fastback roofline to improve aerodynamics, though official EPA or WLTP figures have not yet been released.
Spy‑shot photographs captured a 2027 Range Rover undergoing testing with noticeably reduced camouflage, revealing design updates such as a revised front grille, new lighting signatures and revised bumpers. The prototype was seen on European roads and at the Nürburgring, indicating progress toward a mid‑cycle facelift that will also bring electrified powertrains, expanded driver‑assist features and an updated infotainment system.
