Range Rover Sport Electric unveiled with 550 PS and 600 km range
Jaguar Land Rover has unveiled the Range Rover Sport Electric, marking the model's transition to fully electric propulsion. The new lineup includes two power options: a 450 PS version and a high-performance 550 PS version. The latter delivers 850 Nm of torque, enabling a 0-100 km/h acceleration in approximately 4.5 seconds.
Built on the MLA-Flex architecture, the vehicle features a 118.5 kWh usable battery and an 800V electrical system. This architecture supports 350 kW DC fast charging, allowing the battery to charge from 10% to 80% in about 22 minutes. The vehicle offers a WLTP range of up to 600-609 km, with real-world estimates around 535 km.
Despite the shift to electric, the SUV retains significant off-road capabilities, including a 900 mm wading depth and the ability to handle 45-degree inclines. Engineering improvements include a 61% increase in body stiffness and a 73 mm lower center of gravity compared to previous plug-in hybrid models. Production is slated to take place in Solihull, UK.
