Landal opens glamping resort in Durbuy, Belgium; Nala Village launches Europe's largest retreat center in the Dutch Oost

Landal Resort Val de Bois Durbuy opened on 17 July in the Ardennes, Belgium. The resort, the company’s tenth in Belgium, offers 40 luxury glamping tents, 28 lodges and 15 tiny houses, each equipped with air‑conditioning, en‑suite bathrooms and optional hot tubs, saunas or outdoor kitchens. Targeting Belgian families and couples as well as Dutch and German guests, the development adds to Landal’s portfolio of more than 200 parks across eight European countries and is expected to boost the local economy.

Nala Village, billed as Europe’s largest retreat‑resort, opened its doors to the public on 18–19 July in the Achterhoek region of the Netherlands, coinciding with the inaugural Horizon Festival. The site accommodates up to 400 guests in 100 sustainable dwellings – 62 luxury villas and 38 nature houses – and offers a year‑round programme of yoga, meditation, detox and other wellbeing activities. Designed by architect Bob Zandersen and landscape architect Dirk Luijendijk, the resort emphasizes low‑impact construction and a strong connection to the surrounding landscape.

Both openings reflect a growing demand for premium nature‑based holidays that combine comfort, wellness and environmental awareness.
