World Beer Awards 2026 crowns global brewing winners

The 2026 World Beer Awards, held in Norwich, UK, have announced winners across various categories, celebrating global excellence in brewing and design.

Brazilian brewery Landel, based in Campinas, secured a major title with its beer ‘Atrás do Bloco’, which was named World’s Best IPA. The New England/Milkshake IPA, inspired by Brazilian Carnival, progressed through national gold and ‘Best Brazil’ honors before defeating international competitors in the final super-category.

In Portugal, the brewery Praxis, in partnership with enologist Carlos Lucas, won the title of World’s Best Grape Ale for ‘Cerveja de Encruzado by Carlos Lucas & Praxis’.
