Landestheater Linz premieres new play centered on Linzer Torte

The Landestheater Linz has premiered a new stage production titled ‘Linzer Torte mit Schlag’. Directed by David Bösch, the play uses the famous Austrian Linzer Torte as a central theme to explore concepts of home, identity, and love.

The story follows an American character named Jackson, played by Christian Taubenheim, who travels to Upper Austria after receiving a mysterious letter praising the cake as the taste of Europe. The narrative navigates themes of bureaucracy, language barriers, and a young romance portrayed by ensemble members Marlena Reinwald and Kaspar Simonischek.
