Landestheater Schwaben to open 2026/27 season with Goethe’s Faust

Landestheater Schwaben will open its 2026/27 season on September 25 with a production of Johann Wolfgang von Goethe’s classic tragedy, ‘Faust’. Artistic director Sarah Kohrs intends to explore the themes of the work, which depicts a scientist’s pursuit of knowledge and power at any cost.

The production aims to examine the archetype of the researcher driven by ambition and the devastation left in the wake of such pursuits.
