James Jordan, a returning star of Taylor Sheridan’s Paramount+ drama Landman, confirmed that production for Season 3 has been pushed from an expected August start to September. Filming is slated to continue through the first quarter of next year.

Paramount announced the series’ renewal for a third season on Dec. 5 2025 after Season 2’s record‑breaking premiere, which logged 9.2 million streaming views in its first two days and outperformed the first season by 262 percent. Sheridan is currently writing ten new episodes, and scripts have already been distributed to cast members, who say they are treating them like classified material. Billy Bob Thornton reiterated that he will return as Tommy Norris, dismissing rumors of his departure.

The production will return to Fort Worth, where the first two seasons were largely shot, and the cast expressed excitement about reuniting for the upcoming chapter.
