Lando Norris celebrates 2025 F1 title at Goodwood Festival while warning Ferrari of its pace

British driver Lando Norris, 2025 Formula 1 drivers’ champion, will headline the Goodwood Festival of Speed in July. He will drive McLaren’s 2023 MCL60 up the historic hillclimb, joining a line‑up of iconic cars including the 1976 M23, a 1993 MP4/8 and the MP4/8B previously driven by Ayrton Senna.

Earlier in the season Norris noted that Ferrari’s current engine performance prevents the Italian team from fully challenging McLaren, saying the Red Bull‑powered rivals could “embarrass everyone” if Ferrari introduced stronger power units. His comments came after Ferrari’s strong showing in Barcelona, while McLaren has secured the championship.

McLaren’s marketing chief Louise McEwen emphasised the event as a celebration of the team’s heritage and the double championship win, with the Goodwood weekend offering fans close contact with the historic machinery and the new title‑winning car.
