Lando Norris equals David Coulthard’s F1 win record
Lando Norris has equaled David Coulthard’s record of 13 Formula 1 Grand Prix victories following his win at the Dutch Grand Prix in Zandvoort. This victory follows his recent win at the Hungarian Grand Prix, marking a strong run of form for the driver before the summer break.
Speaking on the Up to Speed podcast, former McLaren driver David Coulthard joked about the milestone, jokingly stating he was ‘pissed off’ that Norris had reached the same number of wins. Coulthard praised Norris’s performance, noting the driver appeared ‘at one with his car’ and his team.
By reaching 13 wins, Norris also joins F1 legend Alberto Ascari on the same tally. Should he secure another victory, he will move on to match the records of Graham Hill, Emerson Fittipaldi, and Jack Brabham. Norris described the Zandvoort race as a tough but rewarding win where he managed a very strong pace.
