Lando Norris says Ferrari would dominate F1 with a stronger engine after Hamilton's Spanish Grand Prix win

After the race, McLaren driver Lando Norris warned that Ferrari could become the benchmark on the grid if it paired its current chassis with a more competitive power unit. He said, "If they had a better engine, they're dominating. They're the class of the field in terms of cornering performance at the minute," and added that McLaren is "a long, long way from where we need to be" and must accelerate its own development.

Ferrari’s power unit is reported to be about 4% off the benchmark, but regulations allow the Italian team to continue developing the engine throughout the season, while McLaren does not have the same opportunity. Norris’s comments highlight the performance gap and the importance of engine upgrades in the championship battle.
