Landsberg urban development project sees first residents move in

Residents are beginning to move into new apartments in the Urbanes Leben am Papierbach (ULP) district in Landsberg. The development, which includes the Lechwinkel and Lechhöfe areas, is designed to eventually house approximately 1,500 people.

Project manager Marius Jung of ehret+klein noted that while 80 percent of the apartments are sold, the project has faced challenges from the housing market crisis and rising construction costs. Costs per square meter have increased from 5,500 euros to 9,000 euros in recent years.

Upcoming developments for the district include the establishment of an east-west connection between the Lady-Herkomer-Steg and the Spöttinger roundabout, which is expected to be provisionally completed by late October or early November.
