Schafhofberg Streuobstwiesentag canceled due to lack of funds

The annual Streuobstwiesentag event at Schafhofberg has been canceled this year due to financial constraints. Matthias Maino, the managing director of the Landschaftspflegeverband (LPV), confirmed that the organization lacks at least 10,000 euros required to host the nature event, which typically includes exhibitors and lectures.

A recent fundraising campaign failed to secure sufficient donations. Additionally, the LPV is facing delays in receiving subsidies from the Bayerischer Naturschutzfonds because required documentation was not submitted in a timely manner. Maino is currently working on a new concept to restructure the event for the following year.
