Landslide in Argentina and fire in Mexico cause local closures

In Argentina, Vialidad Nacional has confirmed a total closure of Ruta Nacional 40 near Lago Guillelmo on the stretch connecting Bariloche and El Bolsón. The closure was caused by a landslide near rocky cliffs. Heavy machinery has been deployed to the site to address the debris, and authorities are advising motorists not to attempt to cross the affected area.

In Mexico, emergency services responded to a fire at a shoe store on Avenida Independencia in Veracruz. The blaze, which involved shoes, clothing, and plastic furniture, prompted the evacuation of 10 people from the surrounding area. While the fire was brought under control by morning, the avenue faced temporary closures to allow firefighters to manage smoke and cleanup efforts. No injuries were reported.
