Landsmeer plans new housing location for Ukrainians near Jonkerhof

The municipality of Landsmeer has announced plans to establish a new reception location for Ukrainian residents near Jonkerhof at Zuideinde 77. This move is necessitated by the planned construction of permanent housing at the current location on Violierweg 30, where approximately 55 Ukrainians currently reside.

An information evening was held for local residents to present the design of the future site. The municipality stated that the new temporary housing units are intended to remain in place for a maximum of five years, after which the site must be restored to its original state. Preparatory work is scheduled to begin in early 2027, with the relocation of residents planned for June 2027. The municipality is currently seeking an exemption from the province of Noord-Holland for the placement of the residential units.
