LandWorks hosts annual Supporters Day to celebrate prison resettlement success

The Dartington-based charity LandWorks held its annual Supporters Day, hosting over 150 stakeholders, partners, and volunteers to highlight the progress of individuals rebuilding their lives after prison.

During the event, guests including MP Caroline Voaden toured the charity’s facilities, which include a carpentry workshop, market garden, and pottery studio. Fundraising efforts at the event included a record-breaking raffle and shop sales, while a separate campaign secured over £5,000 in new annual regular donations.

Project Director Chris Parsons noted several recent achievements, including recognition from the Ministry of Justice Data Lab regarding the charity’s statistically significant low reoffending rates. Since its inception in 2013, LandWorks has assisted more than 300 people at risk of incarceration or leaving prison to reintegrate into the community through vocational skills training.
