Laneway Festival announces 2027 tour route with Sydney opener

Laneway Festival has announced its 2027 tour route, which features a significant change in scheduling. For the first time, Sydney will serve as the festival opener at Centennial Park on February 12.

The tour will then move to the Brisbane Showgrounds on February 13, return to Flemington Park in Melbourne on February 19, and conclude at Auckland’s Western Springs Bowl on February 21.

This scaled-back itinerary follows the decision to omit Adelaide and Perth from the 2027 run. Organizers stated that reducing the festival's footprint helps manage the logistical demands placed on crews and artists, while allowing more artists to perform headline shows in cities not included in the festival circuit. The full artist lineup is expected to be announced in late September.
