Lang Co Bay walking street struggles with low tourist activity

The Nguyen Van walking street in the Chan May - Lang Co area, near Hue, is facing challenges in effective operation despite its prime location. Situated along the An Cu Lagoon near the world-renowned Lang Co Bay and various luxury resorts, the street was intended to become a key hub for the local night economy.

Following an investment of 62 billion VND, the street has struggled with inconsistent visitor numbers, with activity largely limited to weekends and holidays. Local authorities note that the area lacks a diverse service ecosystem, as current offerings are mostly restricted to small-scale shopping and food services. There is a notable absence of cultural performances, entertainment, or specialized local experiences.

Furthermore, the walking street has failed to establish strong links with nearby hotels and travel agencies. Most tourists staying in the surrounding high-end resorts utilize closed service systems or private tours, preventing a steady flow of visitors to the pedestrian zone.
