Langelihle Phili begins rehabilitation with Kaizer Chiefs

Kaizer Chiefs winger Langelihle Phili has begun his rehabilitation following an ankle injury sustained during training last month. The 21-year-old, who joined the club from Stellenbosch at the start of the season, is expected to be sidelined for at least another month.

Coach Fernando Da Cruz emphasized Phili’s importance to the squad, noting his ability to make a difference in one-on-one situations. While the club manages Phili’s recovery, they are relying on other players to maintain their position in the Betway Premiership, where they currently sit third behind Mamelodi Sundowns and Orlando Pirates.

Phili’s return is viewed as a potential boost for the team’s attacking capabilities as they navigate a busy schedule in the Premier Soccer League. The club continues to manage several other injury concerns involving players such as Paseka Mako, Bradley Cross, Nkhayiso Shinga, and Khanyisa Mayo.
