Langenselbold forest fire extinguished after 1.5 hours

On Monday evening around 21:00, a brush fire broke out along the Vogelsbergstraße in Langelselbold, Germany. The blaze, about ten metres long, ignited vegetation and several trees at the edge of the forest.

The Langenselbold fire brigade responded with twenty firefighters and five vehicles, putting out the fire within roughly one and a half hours and preventing it from spreading to the tree canopy. Police from Langenselbold opened an investigation into the cause of the fire.
