Langkah Membumi Market 2026 promotes sustainability in Jakarta

The Langkah Membumi Market (LMM) 2026 took place from October 8 to 11 at the Grand Indonesia West Mall in Jakarta. Now in its fifth year, the event aims to promote sustainable lifestyles among the general public, particularly the younger generation, through interactive experiences and daily habits.

Public figures including Cinta Laura and Luna Maya participated to encourage environmental awareness. Cinta Laura emphasized that sustainability does not require perfection but rather the willingness to start small and learn from daily choices. The event featured Inspiring Talks with various speakers, including Daniel Mananta, Andien, and others, covering topics such as health, consumption, and sustainability.

Key activities included waste management education through the ‘Bukan Tentang Sampah’ installation, which taught visitors how to categorize and sort waste. The market also provided waste drop boxes where participants could exchange textile waste, PET plastic bottles, and electronic devices for rewards. Additionally, the event showcased recycled materials through artistic installations like the Cactazo Tree by Mortier.
