Langkawi to become new port of call for Disney Adventure cruise

The Disney Adventure cruise ship will include the Malaysian island of Langkawi as a port of call starting December 31, 2026. The ship, which is Disney Cruise Line’s first vessel based in Asia, will operate selected four-night sailings that begin and end in Singapore.

Langkawi will serve as a destination for day visitors rather than a location for embarkation or disembarkation. Guests on these itineraries will be able to explore the island, which features Southeast Asia’s first UNESCO Global Geopark, before returning to the ship.

Datuk Seri Haji Iskandar bin Datuk Haji Mohd Kaus, CEO of the Langkawi Development Authority (LADA), expressed enthusiasm for the partnership, noting it provides an opportunity to introduce a new international audience to the island’s nature-based activities and cultural experiences.
