Langley Animal Protection Society launches National Kitten College

The Langley Animal Protection Society (LAPS) has launched Canada’s first National Kitten College in Metro Vancouver. The initiative is designed to train volunteers and caregivers on how to manage neonatal and orphaned kittens.

Because newborn kittens without mothers are highly vulnerable and require constant care for warmth, nutrition, and hygiene, the program aims to expand and strengthen foster networks. Sarah Jones of LAPS stated that the goal is to recruit more people and provide them with the necessary skills to reduce the burden on staff. The current sessions are offered free of charge, with additional courses planned for the future.
