Langley, BC August Community Events Calendar

Langley will host a series of free public events throughout August. The Tears of Joy Hot Sauce Expo runs on Saturday, Aug. 8 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Langley Riders Society, featuring hot sauces, snacks, live music and kids activities, with donations accepted by the Langley Food Bank.

A Pride celebration organized by the Langley Pride Society and Langley Senior Resources Society takes place the same day from noon to 9:30 p.m., offering drag bingo, panel discussions, food, vendors and live music.

The Langley Hospice Society and Langley Lodge hold a butterfly‑release fundraiser on Aug. 8 at Krause Berry Farms, where butterflies are sold for $25 each.

The Cat Fanciers of BC cat show is scheduled for Aug. 8‑9 at the George Preston Recreation Centre.

Elder Karen Gabriel leads an Indigenous tools workshop on Aug. 9 in Campbell Valley Regional Park.

The Langley Memorial Hospital Heritage Committee Reunion and Open House is open to the public on Aug. 11 at the Michaud House gardens.

Ted Goshulak will guide a Blaauw Eco‑forest trek on Aug. 12 through a 30‑acre preserve featuring endangered species.

Additional free outdoor concerts are planned for the Willowbrook Sho area as part of the “Summer in the Courtyard” series.
