Langley, BC hosts BC Day events at farm museum and historic site

The BC Farm Museum in Langley will be open on Monday, Aug. 3 for the BC Day holiday, offering family‑oriented activities such as a working model‑train display, rabbit‑petting, children’s programs and a scavenger‑hunt with small prizes. Admission is by donation and the museum operates from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The Fort Langley National Historic Site has special BC Day events on Saturday, Aug. 1 and Sunday, Aug. 2, with regular programming on Aug. 3. Highlights include a fashion show and a popular Feats of Strength competition. With the Canada Strong summer pass, all Parks Canada sites, including Fort Langley, provide free admission through Sept. 7, and the museum’s normal tours and black‑powder demonstrations will continue weather‑permitting. The traditional flotilla brigade on the Fraser River will not take place this year.
