Langley Events Centre expansion nears completion

The expansion of the Langley Events Centre, known as the Arenas at Langley Events Centre, is nearing completion. Ice installation for the three new rinks was finished by mid-August, with boards and glass installation nearly complete.

The two-storey facility includes three ground-level ice rinks and two dry-floor areas designed for lacrosse and ball hockey. Originally budgeted at $100 million, the project's cost increased to $149 million. Construction began shortly after plans were unveiled in the fall of 2023.

The facility is scheduled to open on Tuesday, Sept. 8, with regular user groups already booking space. An official opening celebration is currently being planned by the Township of Langley.
