Langley Rams advance to Cullen Cup after semifinal victory

The Langley Rams secured a spot in the Cullen Cup following a 27-16 semifinal win against the VI Raiders at McLeod Athletic Park. Backup quarterback Chayse Thurston, playing in place of the injured Daryl Overstreet Jr., completed 17 passes for 209 yards to lead the offense.

Despite a late surge by the Raiders, who scored 13 points in the final period, the Rams maintained their lead. The Rams, who hold the best record in the British Columbia Football Conference (BCFC), will host the Westshore Rebels in the Cullen Cup championship game on Saturday, Oct. 24. The winner of that matchup will host the Canadian Bowl on Nov. 8.
