Langley rental prices dip slightly in July as market shows signs of stabilising

A July 2026 survey by Rentals.ca and Urbanation reported that the average asking rent in Langley fell marginally to $2,239, with one‑bedroom units at $1,899 and two‑bedroom units at $2,457. The modest decline caused Langley to slip from the 13th to the 16th most expensive rental market in Canada.

Nationally, the average asking rent was $2,037, down 4 % year‑over‑year – the smallest annual decline since February. British Columbia’s Minister of Housing and Municipal Affairs, Christine Boyle, highlighted that the province has now seen 25 consecutive months of year‑over‑year rent decreases, attributing the trend to policies such as the speculation and vacancy tax and increased affordable‑rental construction. Other high‑cost markets included North Vancouver ($3,039) and Vancouver ($2,686).
