Langreo renovates La Buelga to celebrate university program anniversary

The Langreo City Council has renovated the exterior of La Buelga, a cultural facility in Ciañu, to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the University of Oviedo’s University Program for Seniors (PUMUO).

The renovations incorporate elements of Asturian mining and cider culture. Artist Iván Jambrina Langreo created a black and white mural depicting a miner and a mule. The site also features apple trees, a cider barrel donated by the Asturias Cider Protected Designation of Origin Regulatory Council, and mining carts donated by Hunosa.
